Window to the Wild Co-Founder & President Lindsey McNeny (L) and Co-Founder & Vice President Simon McNeny (R) will let participants engage with owls at the Harvest Hootenanny on Oct. 23rd at the John Bunker Sands Wetland Center.

SEAGOVILLE – The John Bunker Sands Wetland Center will be hosting an old fashioned country party, Harvest Hootenanny, on Saturday, October 23. The ‘Wings Over The Wetland’ community event will take place from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.

Guests will be entertained by the Acoustic Sound Hounds, a local bluegrass band, and will feast on amazing BBQ catered by Pecan Lodge. Participants will also engage with live Owls from Window to the Wild, and gather round the campfire while eating peach cobbler with homemade ice cream from Two Old Cranks.

Only 25 miles from downtown Dallas, the John Bunker Sands Wetland Center provides unique water education programs and nature adventures in the middle of the 2,000-acre East Fork Water Reuse Project, managed by our partner the North Texas Municipal Water District. This man-made wetland recycles up to 90 million gallons of water a day while providing crucial habitat for birds, reptiles, fish, and mammals.
