Seagoville (2-0) notched its second consecutive shutout last week in a blowout win against Trimble Tech, while Adamson (0-2) suffered an ugly 62-12 setback to Sunset.
The Dragons are led by a pair of quarterbacks, sophomore Isaiah Gonzalez and junior Eric Singleton, who have combined to complete 17 of 26 passes for 395 yards and five touchdowns. The duo have also tallied 122 yards and three scores on the ground.
The top receiving threats for Coach Andy Gutierrez’ squad are senior wideouts TreQuan Busby (4-121-2) and Jordan Boswell (3-99-1). Another senior receiver, Tucker Benway, has three receptions for 40 yards and two touchdowns, while sophomore Brycen Lewis has caught a pair of balls for 42 yards.
Sophomore Ronald Manning is the featured back with 151 yards and five scores on 28 carries, while junior Raekwon Davis has added 45 yards and one touchdown on 13 touches.
The Leopards are paced by dual-threat quarterback Kabram Washington, who has thrown for 107 yards and rushed for 93 yards. Junior running back/middle linebacker Joseph Estrada averages five yards per carry, while freshman receiver Joel Aldama has caught four balls for 56 yards and one score.
