Players to Watch: WR Jordan Boswell, QB Eric Singleton, QB Isaiah Gonzalez, RB Ronald Manning (Seagoville), QB Devon Johnson, RB Keyshawn Thompson, OL Izaiah Nava (Trimble Tech).

The Rundown

Seagoville (1-0) pounded the hapless Bulldogs in a lopsided 47-0 road win a year ago. Sophomore quarterback Isaiah Gonzalez (2-for-5, 79 yard, TD and junior signal-caller Eric Singleton (4-for-6, 73 yards, INT) combined to complete 6 of 11 passes for 152 yards and a touchdown in last week’s 48-0 rout over R.L. Turner.

Sophomore running back Ronald Manning paced the Dragons’ rushing attack in the season opener with 12 carries for 85 yards and three scores. Gonzalez (7-31-1), Singleton (3-29-1) and junior Raekwon Davis (8-25-1) each found the end zone last week against the Lions.

Senior wideout Jordan Boswell was the Dragons top receiving threat in Week 1 with three catches for 99 yards and one touchdown.

Defensively, Seagoville forced five turnovers while limiting R.L. Turner to just 106 total yards en route to the easy win.

Trimble Tech (0-1), which has posted a 4-27 record in its past 31 games, are led by quarterback Devon Johnson. The senior scored the Bulldogs lone touchdown in last week’s 46-6 setback to Bishop Dunne on an impressive 45-yard scamper.

Two-way senior lineman Izaiah Nava blocked an extra-point and collected a pair of pancake blocks a week ago against the Falcons.
