SEAGOVILLE – Former Seagoville High School goalkeeper Matt Callaway has been named an assistant soccer coach at Texas State University. Previously, he was a goalkeeper coach at the University of Wyoming for the previous five years.

As an assistant coach for the Bobcats, Callaway will work primarily with the team’s goalkeepers, in addition to other coaching duties.

“I’m very excited to join the soccer program at Texas State. I look forward to learning and growing as a person and soccer coach, as well as helping the program continue its history of success,” said Callaway.

Callaway was a four-year starting goalkeeper for Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas from 2006-10. He earned all-league honors twice for the Scots.
