CRANDALL – An armed carjacking on Monday morning in Crandall has local residents worried about the peace and order within their city limits.
At approximately 11:50 a.m., a suspect with a gun robbed a woman and stole her Jeep Compass near the Crandall Electrical and Plumbing Supply business at 1000 US-175 Frontage Road. However, several Good Samaritans heard the woman scream and came to her assistance.
“That lady was the main worry,” wrote a woman on social media. “Her screams were insane.”
“They tried to stop him,” replied a man in a local chat group. “Busted the window out trying to get him, but he sped off.”
The suspect, who was covering his face with a hoodie, was described by a witness as probably being “mixed” if anything.
